On behalf of the Committee of Management (CoM) of Brenbeal Children’ Centre we wish to announce the 25 year employment milestone of Centre Manager Krystyna Soprun.
Commencing in 1998, 5 years after the centre opened, Krystyna has been an integral member of the Brenbeal Community nurturing thousands of children and families. Krystyna has supported families during some of the most wonderful and happy moments to some of the most challenging and heartbreaking, always maintaining care and compassion.
In 2022, Brenbeal Children’s Centre yet again received ‘Exceeding’ in the National Quality Standard. This rating means that Brenbeal goes beyond the national requirements in each of the quality areas determined by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Authority (ACECQA) as being important for childrens’ learning and development. Services that rate ‘Exceeding’ in four out of seven of the NQS are given an ‘Exceeding’ rating overall. In 2022, 27% of services in the country were rated ‘Exceeding’. Brenbeal rated ‘Exceeding’ in all seven of the NQS areas. This extraordinary result places Brenbeal amongst the top early childhood education services in the country.
Krystyna leads a team of committed educators and carers with very low staff turnover and together with the Committee of Management, has been instrumental in securing funding to enhance the centre and family experiences, such as the Victorian Government’s Inclusive Kindergartens Facilities Program, Building Blocks 2022-23 Improvement Grant (enhancing the 3 year old Kindergarten program) and many more over the years.
Krystyna weathered the COVID storm, working closely with the CoM to ensure that every educator remained employed and supported with various mental -health and support initiatives in place. Krystyna’s commitment to the entire Brenbeal Community has been unwavering, parents and educators alike value Krystyna and the contribution she makes

We are so grateful for your leadership, care and dedication, and warmth you show us all. Thank you for all that you do for our community – Fiona McAlister, (Committee of Management and Parent)
The early years are critical for establishing self-esteem, resilience, healthy growth and capacity to learn. Quality education and care shapes every child’s future and lays the foundation for development and learning and Krystyna has been vital to ensure this occurs.
Please join us in congratulating Krystyna on this incredible milestone.
